Acer 4930G / 5732Z Laptop Battery: Overview

This is a 6-cell replacement Lithium-Ion battery for older Acer Aspire laptops, listed under the Acer 4930G / 5732Z series and part numbers AS07A31, AS07A32 and AS07A72. It is for owners who want an ageing Acer to work away from the socket again, and it is rated at 11.1V and 44Wh (4000mAh) with a 6-month warranty.

Acer Aspire 4710 to 4740 series laptops are still found in many homes and small offices. A fresh compatible battery keeps them useful for typing, browsing and basic office work during power cuts.

Key Features

  • 11.1V, 44Wh / 4000mAh, 6 cells: a full-size removable pack for these Acer models.
  • Aspire 47xx coverage: 4710, 4710G, 4710Z, 4715Z, 4720, 4720G, 4720Z, 4720ZG, 4730, 4730Z, 4730ZG, 4736, 4736G, 4736Z, 4736ZG, 4740 and 4740G variants.
  • Aspire 42xx coverage: 4220, 4230, 4235 and 4240, plus the 2930Z-343G16Mn.
  • Part numbers: AS07A31, AS07A32 and AS07A72.
  • 6-month warranty: longer cover for a replacement battery.

Best For

  • Home users keeping an older Acer Aspire running.
  • Small offices and shops that use an Aspire 4736 or 4740 for billing and records.
  • Technicians refurbishing used Acer laptops.

Things to Check Before Buying

  • Check the part number on your old battery: AS07A31, AS07A32 or AS07A72 confirms this type.
  • The 4930G and 5732Z named in the title are not in the detailed model list, so owners of those models should confirm by part number with us first.
  • Check your laptop's model on the bottom sticker and find it in the list.
  • Slide the battery in until the latch locks, and charge fully before first long use.
  • On very old laptops, test the charger too; a weak adapter can stop a new battery from charging.
  • Store a spare battery at around half charge in a cool, dry place.
