Software & Antivirus

Software and Antivirus in Bangladesh

Software and Antivirus covers licensed security software that protects Windows computers from viruses, malware, ransomware and online threats. It is bought by home users, students, freelancers, small offices and shop owners who keep important files, client work and banking or mobile wallet details on their computers. Our range features ESET Internet Security (1 User), a security suite from the ESET brand.

Infected USB drives, cracked software and fake download links are common ways that malware spreads. A licensed antivirus with regular updates is one of the simplest ways to protect a laptop or office PC and the data on it.

Types of Software and Antivirus

• Internet security suites: products such as ESET Internet Security that combine antivirus protection with extra tools for safer browsing and online activity.
• Single-user licences: licences such as the 1 User edition, covering one device for a home user, student or freelancer.
• Security for offices and shops: licences for each computer in a small office or retail counter that handles customer data.

How to Choose

• Count your devices. Each licence covers a set number of users or devices; a 1 User licence protects one computer.
• Check system compatibility. Confirm the software supports your operating system version before buying.
• Use only one antivirus. Remove any other antivirus first, as two running together can slow the computer and cause conflicts.
• Note the licence period and plan to renew so updates and protection continue without a gap.
• Keep it updated. Allow automatic updates so the software can recognise new threats.

FAQs

Q: Is the built-in Windows protection enough?
A: Windows includes basic protection, but an internet security suite adds extra layers. Users who handle client files, online payments or many USB drives often prefer the added coverage.

Q: Can I use one licence on two computers?
A: A 1 User licence is meant for one computer. For more devices, you need a licence that covers the required number of users.

Q: Will antivirus slow down my laptop?
A: Any security software uses some resources, but a modern suite is designed to run in the background. Older laptops with limited RAM may notice it more during full scans.
