Acer D730 Laptop Keyboard

Acer D730 Laptop Keyboard: Overview

The Acer D730 Laptop Keyboard is a replacement keyboard for the Acer eMachines D730, D730G, D732, D732G, D732Z and D732ZG, for owners whose keyboard has broken, missing or unresponsive keys. It is a black, medium-size keyboard with a US & UK layout and comes with a 3-month warranty.

This is a replacement (compatible) part made with the same key layout and functions as the original keyboard. It is built from durable materials, with comfortable key travel for a smooth typing experience. Fitting a new keyboard is usually far cheaper than replacing the laptop, and it gives an older Acer D730 a useful second life for office work, classes and browsing.

Best For

• Laptops with dead keys, sticky keys or keys that type the wrong characters.
• Keyboards damaged by tea, water or other spills.
• Worn keyboards with faded letters or broken keycaps.
• Repair technicians servicing Acer D730 laptops for customers.

A working built-in keyboard also means you do not have to carry an external USB keyboard around, which keeps the laptop truly portable for students and office workers.

Things to Check Before Buying

• Check the exact model on the label under your laptop and compare it with: Acer eMachines D730, D730G, D732, D732G, D732Z and D732ZG.
• Look at the Enter key shape and the layout of your current keyboard; UK and US layouts differ around the Enter and left Shift keys.
• If only one or two keys fail after a spill, let the laptop dry fully first; if the fault remains, replacement is the reliable fix.
• Switch off the laptop and remove the battery before fitting, and handle the ribbon cable gently. A technician can fit it for you if you are unsure.
• Test every key, including Fn shortcuts, right after installation while still within warranty.
