Arctic Z2 Basic Desk Mount Dual Monitor Arm: Overview
The Arctic Z2 Basic is a dual desk mount monitor arm that holds two screens side by side, made for freelancers, programmers, traders, designers and office users who work with two monitors. It is rated for 16:9 monitors up to 28 inches and ultrawide monitors up to 25 inches.
The arm supports VESA 75x75 and 100x100 mounts and has a load rating of up to 15kg. Moving both screens off their stands clears the desk and lets you line them up at the same height for a cleaner dual-screen setup.
Key Features
- Dual arm desk mount: holds two monitors from one mounting point, saving desk space.
- 16:9 up to 28 inches, ultrawide up to 25 inches: fits popular 22, 24 and 27-inch office and gaming monitors.
- Load up to 15kg: check how the load is shared between the arms for your monitors.
- VESA 75x75 and 100x100: works with standard monitor mounting patterns.
- Matched screen alignment: set both monitors at the same height and angle for easier work across screens.
Best For
Freelancers and remote workers, software developers, traders, accountants, designers and streamers who use two monitors daily. It also suits office desks where two screens on stands would take too much space.
Things to Check Before Buying
- Check the back of your monitor for VESA 75x75 or 100x100 mounting holes. Many slim or budget monitors have no VESA holes and need a separate adapter.
- Measure your desk edge thickness and check there is enough clear space under the desktop for the clamp, and that the desk is solid enough to hold the weight.
- Check both monitor weights without stands and confirm with us how the 15kg load rating applies per arm before mounting heavier screens.
- Make sure both monitors are within the 28-inch (16:9) size limit, as larger screens may not fit side by side.
- Plan your cable routing so both screens can move without pulling on the ports.
FAQs about Arctic Z2 Basic
Q: Can I mount two 27 inch monitors?
A: Yes, two 16:9 monitors up to 28 inches are supported, provided they have VESA 75x75 or 100x100 holes and stay within the load rating.
Q: Can I use just one monitor on it?
A: You can, but a single arm such as the Arctic Z1 Basic is simpler if you only have one screen.
Q: Will it fit a large ultrawide monitor?
A: This dual arm is listed for ultrawide screens up to 25 inches only. For larger ultrawides, the single Arctic Z1 Basic supports up to 38 inches.
