In our shop, graphics card price in Bangladesh ranges from Tk 8,470 for a basic display card to Tk 81,620 for a strong 1080p/1440p gaming card. The card is only half the story, though: a weak or unrated power supply can cause random shutdowns, restarts in the middle of a game, or worse. This guide covers GPU tiers, VRAM, how much PSU you need, 80 Plus, PCIe cables and case fit.
Do you even need a graphics card?
Processors with integrated graphics (iGPU) need no card for office work, e.g. the Intel Core i3-12100, i3-14100 and Ryzen 5 5600GT / 8600G.
You must add a graphics card when the CPU has no iGPU: Intel "F" models such as the Core i5-12400F and i5-14400F, and some Ryzen chips such as the Ryzen 5 5600 and Ryzen 7 5700X. Without a card these PCs will not display anything.
GPU tiers explained
1. Office / display cards: GT 710, GT 730, GT 1030
These are low-power cards for getting a display out of an F-series CPU, adding monitor outputs, or reviving an old office PC. They are not gaming cards for modern titles. The MSI GT 710 is a low-profile (LP) card and the MSI GT 1030 AERO ITX is compact, which helps in small cases.
2. Entry 1080p gaming: Arc A380, RX 6500 XT, RTX 3050 6GB
This is the starting point for playing games at 1080p, usually with medium settings in newer titles and higher settings in lighter or older games.
3. Mid-range 1080p and light 1440p: RX 7600, Arc B580, RTX 3060 12GB, RTX 5060, RTX 5060 Ti
More headroom for 1080p high settings and high refresh rates; the stronger ones handle some 1440p.
A note on Intel Arc (A380, B580): Intel recommends Resizable BAR (ReBAR) for Arc cards, which needs a reasonably modern motherboard and CPU with the option enabled in BIOS. On an older platform, an NVIDIA or AMD card is often the safer choice — ask us if you are not sure.
How much VRAM do you need?
- 2–4GB: office cards and entry cards. Fine for desktop work and light games; newer games may need lower texture settings.
- 6–8GB: the practical range for 1080p gaming today.
- 12GB: more room for high texture settings, 1440p and creative apps (RTX 3060 12GB, Arc B580).
VRAM is not the only factor: compare the tier first, then VRAM.

How much PSU do I need?
The simplest reliable method is to start from the graphics card maker's Recommended PSU. It already assumes a typical complete PC, not just the card. Then:
- Meet or exceed the recommendation with a real, rated unit — a quality 550W is better than a cheap unit with a bigger number on the label.
- Leave headroom above the recommended figure if you have a high-core-count CPU, many drives and fans, or plan to upgrade the card later.
- Check the PCIe connectors (next section).
- Check the size: some compact cases list a maximum PSU length (the Xigmatek Aqua M Nano II lists 150mm).
Watch out for cases sold "with PSU". For example, the Value-Top T861 casing comes with a built-in 200W PSU, which is below the 300W that even the GT 710/730/1030 makers recommend. If you add a graphics card to such a case, buy a separate power supply.
80 Plus ratings in plain words
80 Plus is an efficiency certification. A higher level wastes less electricity as heat:
- 80 Plus (White): the basic level, e.g. Xigmatek Odin 500W.
- Bronze: the sweet spot for most budget and mid gaming builds, e.g. DeepCool PF500X, Corsair CX550, Antec CSK 550DC, Thermaltake Smart BX1 650W, MSI MAG A650BN.
- Silver: e.g. Gigabyte P550SS.
- Gold: higher efficiency, often with better parts, e.g. Cooler Master MWE Gold 650 V3, DeepCool PN750D, 1STPLAYER NGDP 850W.
Two of our units are not 80 Plus certified: the Value-Top Neo Q450 and the Gamdias AURA GP650. Fine for office PCs, but for a 450W–550W card choose a certified unit.
PCIe power connectors
Office cards like the GT 710/730/1030 are generally powered through the PCIe slot. Bigger cards need cables straight from the PSU. A "6+2 pin" PCIe cable can be used as a 6-pin or an 8-pin, so it covers both. Our Arc A380 and RX 6500 XT need one 6-pin; the Arc B580, RX 7600, RTX 3060 and RTX 5060 / 5060 Ti listed here need one 8-pin. Do not use SATA or Molex adapters for a gaming card; if the PSU lacks the right cable, it is the wrong PSU.
Will the card fit your case?
Compare the card's length and thickness with the case's maximum GPU length and space. Our specs do not list GPU length for every card or case, so check the maker's spec sheet or send us your case model. Small office PCs are a special case: SFF (slim) office desktops usually only fit low-profile cards, tiny/micro PCs have no full-size slot at all, and many brand PCs have a small or proprietary PSU.

- Office PC with an F CPU, or extra monitors: ASUS GT 730 at Tk 10,780 (regular Tk 11,430), or the compact MSI GT 1030 AERO ITX at Tk 17,280 (regular Tk 18,320). Pair with the Value-Top Neo Q450 at Tk 2,920 if the case PSU is too small.
- Entry 1080p gaming: ZOTAC RTX 3050 6GB at Tk 33,480 (regular Tk 35,490), recommended PSU 450W — the DeepCool PF500X 500W Bronze at Tk 4,620 (regular Tk 4,900) matches it.
- Mid 1080p: PowerColor RX 7600 8GB at Tk 48,060 (regular Tk 50,950), recommended PSU 550W, with the Corsair CX550 at Tk 5,610 (regular Tk 5,950). For more VRAM on a modern platform, the Arc B580 12GB costs the same.
- Higher 1080p / some 1440p: PNY RTX 5060 8GB at Tk 60,950 (regular Tk 64,610) or ASUS RTX 5060 Ti at Tk 81,620 (regular Tk 86,520). Both list a 550W recommended PSU; for headroom, the Cooler Master MWE Gold 650 V3 at Tk 9,680 is a solid choice.
