Dell Latitude 7490 Core i5 8th Gen 8GB RAM 256GB SSD: Overview

The Dell Latitude 7490 is a used slim, premium 14 inch Dell business laptop with an 8th Gen Intel Core i5 processor, 8GB DDR4 RAM, a 256GB SSD and a 14 inch Full HD (1920x1080) screen, ideal for freelancers, office staff and students who need a light, reliable laptop to carry every day. It is lighter than the Latitude 5000 series and uses Intel UHD Graphics 620.

This unit is Grade A, which means very good cosmetic condition with at most light signs of previous use. Every refurbished laptop is checked for processor, RAM, SSD, display, keyboard, touchpad, ports, Wi-Fi, webcam, speakers, battery and charger, and the condition is shown on this page.

Key Features

  • Slim, light 7000 series design: lighter than the 5000 series and easy to carry every day.
  • 8th Gen Intel Core i5: smooth for office work, browsing, video calls and freelancing tools.
  • 14 inch Full HD display: sharp and comfortable for long sessions.
  • 256GB SSD: starts in seconds and keeps everyday work smooth.
  • 8GB DDR4 RAM: enough for normal multitasking; RAM and SSD can be upgraded later.
  • Windows 10/11 ready: runs current Windows versions.

Best For

Freelancers who work from home, cafes and co-working spaces, office staff who travel between branches, and students who carry their laptop on buses and rickshaws every day. It suits anyone who values a premium, lightweight laptop more than the heaviest performance.

Setup and Usage Tips

  • Install Dell drivers and Windows updates on first use.
  • Use a padded laptop bag to protect the slim body while commuting.
  • Keep large media files on cloud storage so the 256GB SSD stays roomy.
  • Use a correctly rated Dell charger to protect the battery.
  • Ask us about upgrading RAM or SSD if you need more later.
