Fantech BG-984 Waterproof 15.6" Gaming Backpack: Overview
The Fantech BG-984 is a 15.6-inch gaming backpack made from water-resistant ballistic nylon, built for gamers, students and travellers who carry a laptop along with a lot of gear. With 30 to 40 litres of capacity, it has far more space than a typical slim office backpack.
The large capacity leaves room for a gaming laptop, its power adapter, a mouse, headset, keyboard and even clothes for a short trip. Ballistic nylon is known as a tough, abrasion-resistant fabric, and the water resistance adds protection during rain.
Gaming laptops are often heavier and come with larger power adapters than standard office laptops. A backpack with generous capacity and tough fabric is better suited to carrying this kind of setup safely. The BG-984 is also a good fit for anyone who prefers one bag for both daily use and weekend trips.
Key Features
- Fits 15.6" laptops: suitable for 15.6-inch gaming and standard laptops.
- 30-40 L capacity: plenty of room for gaming accessories, chargers and personal items.
- Ballistic nylon: a tough fabric that handles daily wear and rough use.
- Water resistant: helps keep rain and splashes away from your gear.
- Gaming-style design: from Fantech, a brand known for gaming peripherals.
Best For
- Gamers carrying a laptop, mouse, headset and keyboard to LAN events or friends' houses.
- Students who carry many books and gadgets.
- Short trips where you need space for a laptop and clothing.
- Content creators carrying cameras and accessories along with a laptop.
Things to Check Before Buying
- Confirm your laptop is 15.6 inches; thicker gaming laptops should be compared by size first.
- A large bag can become heavy when full, so pack only what you need.
- Water resistance helps in rain but is not the same as fully waterproof submersion protection.
- Place heavy power adapters near your back for better balance.
