The TP-Link Omada SM321B is a 1000Base-BX WDM bi-directional SFP module for network engineers and ISPs connecting switches, routers and OLTs over a single fiber. It runs at 1.25 Gbps over 9/125 single-mode fiber up to 10 km, using an LC/UPC connector.
Because it is a BiDi (WDM) module, it sends and receives on different wavelengths over one fiber core. That halves the number of cores you need for each link, which is useful when your cable has only a few cores to spare.
SFP modules are small, but they decide whether a fiber link comes up cleanly. Choosing the right type, wavelength pair and reach for each end saves a lot of time on site.
